Oh the blog is collecting dust.

Here's an entry. I have just got my results a few days ago. They are not good but I am satisfied. The most disappointing one is hydraulics got a C+ after all those derivation I make myself do while revising. Seems that the paper was an extremely easy one considering i only forgot how to derive one formula out of the whole paper. Well overall the results are quite expected compared to the stunners I had last semester with Ds more than the stars in the sky. One thing that I have proven this sem. CARELESSNESS KILLS!

To sum up the semester, this one is one of the best I had in my NTU life. It started with German during the intersem, one of the best subjects I have taken so far. I didn't do that well though but i really had fun and made quite a number of new friends that had helped me in one way or another.

My school sem was rather interesting this time round, getting to know my classmates better and to mix around with more people. These group of friends have been really helpful academically and helping one another with schoolwork and as usual, I contributed the least because you know la.. My results is just average compared to some crazy classmates of mine. The semster has been filled with gossips and more gossips haha. There is nobody in the class can escape the wrath of our gossip group and I cannot escape that too.

This sem I also infiltrated the year 4's group. I am a spy for yr 3s. Initially, there were 9 classmates of mine who joined this group but eventually all dropped the subject and I was left alone against all the other year 4. Why? Because they find the lecture they attended too boring. However, the subsequent lectures are rather interesting. Initially, there was problem finding group to do project but eventually the problem was solved and I put into a group who calls me 小师弟。 And naturally the person who started it is my 大师姐.

This time round, I also experienced a couple of first times in my academic life and coincidentally, it all occurred during the examination period. First time I sweat in the examination hall because the paper was too difficult and i was sweating profusely even though i can feel that the air con in the hall is cold (Even the famous MOM which is also very tough, gives me no such effect.). Another first time is, I left the examination hall before the examination stops and the subjects were taught by the same lecturer. And I got B for both (*heng*). I think these 2 subjects will be useful in future but the information have to be updated everynow and then with constant reading and both are related in one way or another.

The semester had been fun and entertaining, they say yr 3 are stressful but I think because I was not aiming high that's why I am rather relaxed this sem and I learnt a lot from people around me. It's time that I aim for my first ever A in NTU already. Air pollution control and my FYP, I am aiming for an A and I will work towards that now. Why? Because I want to specialise in these fields. Anyway my fyp project I got something related to Desalination. Something to do with the brine they get after the desalination process. (Salt = Brine it's that simple.)

When I was having dinner with my dad at Botak Jones in Clementi, I met my secondary school PE teacher. He taught me for only a brief moment and he left the school. Therefore he couldn't remember me and I was low profile when it comes to PE.

Had a little chat with him and found that he is teaching singing now. Not those singing like Hai Die or what schools that they have students going for superstar competitions Mediacorp organise these days. The type of singing he teaches is those musical drama type and opera. And during the meal he and his friends were discussing chorale works but classical composers. I am a classical music fanatic but not really a chorale person. The classical music market in Singapore is quite small and its really hard to get CDs around in Singapore. But at least the one CD i want is still available but i dont know whether it's good or not. Pieces by Paganini is already very difficult and for a person to play his complete works well I think he must be very good.

Anyway back to the secondary school teacher topic. I have never seen anybody as talented as he is. He is a volleyball coach and PE teacher back in secondary school. He is very involved in musicals ( I saw him acting in a local musical, Chang and Eng, a story about a Siamese Twins). He dances, he sings, he plays the drums and the double bass. Woa... How talented can a man be? Anyway, It's nice having to meet teachers who have taught me before and I have been bumping into them quite frequently haha and Ms Ng who never really taught me but went to M'sia with the band, I saw her many times already, when working at CS and at the standard chartered marathon volunteer.

Think that's enough for an entry. Ciao
